The 2017-2018 school year marks Coach Payne’s 18th year in coaching, with 17 1/2 of those years being at Dripping Springs. He has been Head Coach since 2006. He is a graduate of Copperas Cove High School, where he played catcher for the Copperas Cove Bulldogs. He was named 1st Team All-District three years in a row, made the Cen-Tex 1st Team his junior year and the Cen-Tex Supreme Team his senior year. He was also a receiver on his high school football team, earning 1st Team All-District his senior year. After completing his student teaching under head coach, Tom Hancock, at Dripping Springs High School in the Fall of 2000, Coach Payne graduated from Southwest Texas State University where he majored in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Special Education.
He began his teaching career at Clark High School in San Antonio where he was an assistant baseball coach. The next year, Coach Payne joined the staff at Dripping Springs Middle School where he taught PE and served as Athletic Coordinator while coaching football and baseball at Dripping Springs High School. Coach Payne moved to the staff of Dripping Springs High School for the 2006-2007 school year, taking over the leadership of the Tiger Baseball program in addition to his duties as a football coach and a Special Education teacher. He is married to his beautiful wife, Kristin, and has two stepsons, Colton and Coy. Coach Payne’s favorite MLB team is the New York Mets, and his favorite MLB player is Craig Biggio.
Coach DeLaCerda joined the Dripping Springs High School coaching staff in 2015. He has been teaching and coaching for 18 years. Besides coaching baseball, Coach DeLaCerda coaches football and teaches Spanish. He graduated from Texas Lutheran University.

Coach Tim Hulon is enjoying his first year as the Dripping Springs Freshman baseball Head Coach. He is also part of the Tiger football coaching staff. Coach Hulon is in his 21st year of teaching and coaching high school baseball across Texas. Most recently, he was the head coach for the Marble Falls Varsity Baseball program.
Coach Hulon grew up in McKinney Texas, where he played both baseball and football for the Lions. Upon graduation, he attended Tarleton State, where he had an opportunity to continue playing baseball.
Coach Hulon has been married to his wife Shawna for 19 years. And he has two children at Dripping Springs High School – Logan (’19) who plays on the Tiger softball team and Austin (’21) who plays football and baseball, and runs track.
